We provide program and funding support for start-ups and entrepreneurs, work with community partners to support women and minority owned ventures, and advise our Town Council on initiatives to advance development that aligns with our community values.






Complete Communities
The Complete Community initiative is a follow-up to the 2021 Housing Report. The Town of Chapel Hill is interested in identifying shared interests around a new approach to housing that clarifies where and how to build to be inclusive, sustainable and an economically competitive community.

We support women and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) owned businesses, which often face significant barriers to growth. We work alongside community leaders and organizations like Empowerment, INC and Chapel Hill Diversity to support, promote, and connect these business owners and innovators.

Revive
We’re planning of an economic recovery strategy for Chapel Hill, NC. It is lead by a 21 member advisory board in conjunction with EY Consulting as the advisor to the process. The charge to the group and consultant is to create a plan of recovery looking at multiple economic scenarios post pandemic.
